The vinyl-only release “MDMA-TION” from North-West outfit ATM Musick blends Gothic Post-Punk with Neo-Psych textures. Basslines from Bobby Thorpe underpin guitars and spectral synths, with a sprinkling of psychedelia by Psychederek wrapped around Louie Dunkin’s haunting vocals. Andy Happer’s drums lift “Until I Found You” on Side A, and the angelic voice of Jordan Rigby-Farrell shines on two standout tracks. Side B finds Doc Sonus transforming the originals into otherworldly form, including the closing cut “MDMA-TION (Drone)”, which eases into a slow-burn comedown. The release is mixed by Danny Ward (Balaphonic/Moodymanc) and Lewis J Kellett (Adjustments) and is limited to 200 copies on Palmyra, The Label.
