The origins of 45-rpm
Adam started his music industry career in 1998 working for a distributor specialising in US house imports, running a label service and selling to the UK’s finest, dance record stores.
When he saw the signs that records were beginning to be sold online, Adam went to work as a Buyer for Juno Records and worked there for over 5 years. It was here that he fell for labels like Schema, Jazzanova, Compost, Ubiquity, Strutt, Dopewax and Jazzman. As digital downloads began to impact DJ culture, Adam shifted his focus to the cycle industry, but his passion for quality tunes always kept pulling him back to music.
45-rpm was born out of Adam’s love of 7”s and in particular funk 45’s but also his desire to offer a truly positive online experience. No more wading through the average to find what you’re looking for. Only to discover it’s out of stock or unable to be delivered for weeks.
45-rpm will sift through the hundreds of releases each week and select only the nuggets to be sold via our site. We will keep these tunes in stock for as long as possible.
What to expect from 45-rpm
Expect the best disco, funk, soul and jazz records – and anything else that is exceptionally good.
If it’s on the website, then it’s in stock (unless you search ‘out of stock’ or a pre order). The main focus will be 7”s but we will also sell the 12”s and LPs that are essential purchases.
We want to offer a great user experience with all orders being despatched same day when ordered before 4pm GMT.
