The sixth instalment in the Brownswood Remix Editions series turns its focus to Como Como, a standout track from Mala’s landmark 2012 album Mala in Cuba. Featuring Cuban vocalists Dreiser & Sexto Sentido, the original track appears here alongside a new, deeply atmospheric rework by Detroit legend Theo Parrish. This edition brings together two artists known for their exploratory approaches—Mala’s fusion of dubstep with Afro-Cuban rhythms, and Parrish’s genre-defying, soulful productions. The result is a striking pairing that bridges London, Havana, and Detroit—three cities with rich musical histories and deep-rooted underground cultures. Theo Parrish, one of the most influential figures in underground dance music, brings his trademark depth and texture to the remix.
