Week 21 is all about Hot Biscuit Recordings, who deliver 2 titles that have been on pre-sale for a while. Chicago’s Jeff White give us 2 edits ‘Free People’ and ‘Save The Dance’ both great edits on 12″Our favourite is ‘Free People’ which has jazzy almost afro feel to it and we are not familiar with the original. Keeping with Hot Biscuit on a quite pricey double pack we have DJ Nature who gives us 5 raw disco edits, again all of them fantastic. We have tried to keep the price as low as we can and approx £4-5 quid cheaper than the usual suspects. While the price tag is high, it’s only going to up as only a short run pressed. Funtown is a new disco edit imprint coming from ..you guessed it Hot Biscuit, a really great reworking of Salsoul Orchestra. There’s load more coming from Hot Biscuit and we are taking pre-orders for the new Darryn Jones which should land in July.
