A beloved veteran of Rio’s tropical underground, Fabio Santanna draws freely from Brazilian boogie, disco, soul and Afro-Brazilian rhythms, channeling the essence of Marcos Valle, João Donato and Lincoln Olivetti for the modern dancefloor, and always with that unmistakable carioca swing. For Beijinho do Brasil, Fabio is more than a musical reference point; he’s family. Label co-owner Tee Cardaci previously worked closely with Fabio on his Asa Dia and Asa Noite albums for Dippin’ Records, while Fabio also lent his voice to the label’s second release, James Matthew Seven’s “Feels Good, Do It.” Now, that long-running musical connection finally comes full circle with Fabio’s own release for Beijinho do Brasil.

Lovingly crafted in Fabio’s Na Nave Studio on Copacabana Beach, “Vibração 2026” and “Beijo Árabe” are two new crate essentials from Mr. Santanna, guaranteed to keep your floor​s hot long after ​the summer months have faded. The A-side revisits and revamps the title track from Fabio’s Live Motel project, raising the vibrations for the standout tune’s vinyl debut. His trademark synths, fat basslines and tight percussion drive the track into the cosmos. The B-side contains a surprise in the form of an unexpected cultural fusion​ to make hips sway. This “Arabian Kiss” is a funky nod to the more than 6 million Brazilians of Arabic descent. Marhaba, saravá!
