Another new collaboration on the Echo Labs label – the subsidiary of Echo Chamber Recordings set up to release tracks and remixes from other artists.

This one is a very special hook-up with Daniel Walls & Joseph Malik in Edinburgh with their new project under their “Oddball Creatives” production monicker. It was truly an honour that they reached out to Echo Chamber Recordings to bring this out on a vinyl 45 , fitting in perfectly with the foundation sounds of the label – combining classic timeless funk, jazz , Latin and soul with 21st Century production techniques

They have recruited the vocal talents of Philadelphia’s Kameela Waheed and the instrumental skills of Scottish jazz legend Colin Steele , to bring us the sound of the summer with a huge soul-jazz-funk cut. It combines elements of a classic early 70s groove with a subtle, up-to-date style, built around Joseph’s vocals and Kameela’s spoken rap.

On the flip you get the purely instrumental take – meaning you could extend the hypnotic groove even longer with two copies !
