We were pleased this week to receive the new Kalita 12″ from Billy Evans. ‘Prisoner Of My weakness’ was originally released in 1985 and only in small quantities so this is a welcome re-issue from Kalita records. An infectious song over funky disco riff’s, this is certainly going to be a favourite on the more discerning dancefloors. Say She She has been our radar since their last 45 ‘Trouble‘ which was brilliant. This week sees the release of their new single ‘Reeling’ which has been getting heavy play on Radio 6 music. Worth a tenner of anyone’s money we think. On the jazz front we have a re-issue of Archie Shepp – Kwanza on Verve and Dorothy Ashby – The Rubaiyat Of Dorothy Ashby, again on Verve. On a more dancefloor tip we received the Four Tet remixes of Everything But The Girl’s new single ‘Nothing to Lose’ .
